Will Dawn survive?
By Morry Uril
“Of course,” says Jaira Uri, leader of the Seven Seers of Dawn. “It is the spirit of the living light who illuminated our land in the first place, blessing us with wisdom, and truth, and understanding. In many respects, we are the light. And if we are the light, Morry, then it could never truly dim. Truly, we will survive.”
Seer Jaira was responding to the mounting concerns surrounding the impending darkness her recent vision warned of. According to the Seer, a thick black cloud will soon descend upon the entire dominion of Dawn, snuffing out its brilliant sunlight. She claimed that even the stars will not shine.
Her elevated, trusted status within the Council of Dawn, as well as among the people, has never been questioned or doubted. Yet, though Seer Jaira is a pillar in our community, her vision looms, triggering inevitable feelings of fear and loathing.
Will we truly survive this? And if so, for how long?
Only time will tell.

Who are the Seven Seers of Dawn?
By Dolion Sixth
The Seven Seers of Dawn are an enlightened group of individuals endowed with specific powers. They descend from the Nur, the early peoples of Dawn who encountered the spirit of the living light thousands of years ago, receiving untold gifts of intelligence that served as the framework upon which the dominion of Dawn was later built.
I was told that the Seven Seers metaphorically represent the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, the third person of something called the Triune God or the Trinity, a God consisting of the Holy Spirit, the Father, and the Son, all worshipped by humans in another metaverse. I, myself, am not certain of it. Yet I trust the source who told me this.
So you have Jaira Uri (jah-eerah oo-rhi), the leader of the Seers and the Seer of wisdom. She possesses powers related to the mind, sort of like a mind bender. She can read one’s mind, influence him, and encourage him to think or act in a certain way, always in a positive, righteous way.
Then there’s Anisa Takbo, the Seer of piety. She is a student of tradition and historical practices of the Nur peoples. She is also a phenomenal writer. In fact, her powers revolve around her writing. Whatever Anisa writes with intention comes to be. And whatever she erases is swiftly forgotten.
Arif Tead, Seer of knowledge, is someone I truly admire. When I was a university student, I remember hearing him speak at a conference on electromagnetic energy at Siva University many years ago. His knowledge is truly his power, for Seer Arif knows absolutely everything. He is astounding.
Jason Hana, Seer of understanding, is probably the most dangerous of all the Seers, at least to me. Though he is a great listener, he possesses this peculiar power of slowing down time and movement to a near halt. I saw him do it. I saw him stretch out his hands and essentially freeze all that moved around him, including me.
Bridgit Balam, Seer of strength, appears unassuming, small, and ordinary. Truly, she can carry ten men over shoulders. She can lift, carry, toss, or crush absolutely anything. In fact, I heard that she physically moved a mountain!
When Marcus Pruks, Seer of counsel, speaks with conviction and intensity, all tongues are temporarily seized. That is his power. It is in his voice, his words. Truly, Seer Marcus’ voice is booming, a bit jarring, sometimes terrifying.
And lastly, there’s Timna Messeg, Seer of obedience, who is, in my opinion, the strangest of them all. Like Seer Anisa, she is obedient to the traditions and practices of the Nur peoples. I suppose, through that obedience, lies her power, her ability to morph into any living creature. I saw it with my own two eyes. She can turn into a bird, a cat, even a beautiful butterfly. Astounding.
So there you have it, the Seven Seers of Dawn. Of course, we know now that young Skylar took Jaira’s place after her death, but more on that later….

What is the HinaKirin (hinnuh-kirihnn)?
By Anisa Takbo
It is a book written by the spirit of the living light itself. The script is ancient, a language spoken only thousands of years ago by the early Nur. I am the only Seer who can read that script and translate it.
Legend has it that since the spirit of the living light wrote it, the words are filled with untold power. When spoken and/or contemplated, the words of the HinaKirin can banish darkness, restore truth, and even create new life. It has a regenerative nature, creating, transforming, and renewing all things.
Some say the HinaKirin metaphorically represents something called the bible, a sacred book imbued with power from something called the Holy Spirit, and is regularly read and contemplated by humans in another metaverse. Of course, that is only speculation on my part.
Nevertheless, because of the HinaKirin’s power, our early people hid it out of fear. That is why we must find it. Only the HinaKirin will reverse the darkness that is sure to come to Dawn. Only the HinaKirin can restore our light and give us new life.
